Motörhead suffers another blow

Motörhead suffers another blow!

Motörhead Lemmy Kilmister
The band's current drummer Mikkey Dee, announced even more bad news, just after one month after Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor ( September 21, 1954 – November 11, 2015)  passing, Taylor who was commonly known as the bands main drummer for a number of years, died of liver failure. Taylor who was with Motörhead from 1975–1984 and 1987–1992. His last appearance with Motörhead was in 2014 was only to walk on stage wave and leave again.

Motörhead suffers another blow!

Then less than seven weeks after Taylor's death, Motörhead suffers yet another blow, the iconic bassist for the band Ian FraserLemmyKilmister  ( December 24, 1945 –  December 28, 2015) has passed after a short term battle with an aggressive cancer. Lemmy had just learned of the cancer recently and was resting at home, playing video games when he passed. Something the legend enjoyed doing, as he could often be seen playing video games at the iconic Rainbow Room in LA.

The Legend's death happening just days after celebrating Lemmy's 70th birthday December 24, 2015. Lemmy's passing away just a few days later on December 28, 2015 after his birthday.

Over the past few years Motörhead has had to cancel numerous shows due to Lemmy's health concerns. Yet, Lemmy only had learned of his aggressive cancer a few weeks earlier.

The band's current drummer Mikkey Dee has been quoted -"Motörhead is over, of course. Lemmy was Motörhead," he added, "We won't be doing any more tours or anything. And there won't be any more records. But the brand survives, and Lemmy lives on in the hearts of everyone."

Lemmy, One of the founders members of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal  category, the iconic legend has now passed. He leaves us with some of the most memorable music, memorable quotes and some of the most kick ass bass riffs.

We added  Phil's name to our R.I.P. Rest In Peace list earlier this month. And now having to add Lemmy's name to the list as well, bring us to tears, yet we can rock on with their head banging songs.

You will most certainly be missed, Lemmy! \m/
