Metal Blade continues its partnership with Cyclone Empire in 2014 with two new releases. Both Down Among the Dead Men’s self-title album and Bodyfarm’s “The Coming Scourge” will be released in North America on February 18. Both albums were released at the end of 2013 in Europe, and are finally ready for an official release in North America. Keep up with more upcoming releases for 2014 at cyclone-empire.com and metalblade.com/downamongthedeadmen.
Bodyfarm was founded in the late summer of 2009 by Quint Meerbeek (drums) and Thomas Wouters (guitars, vocals) with the intent to play quality death metal with a mind of its own. Their self-titled EP (2010) was well received worldwide. The band followed the EP with “Malevolence” in the summer of 2012 on Cyclone Empire. So far, Bodyfarm has built a solid live reputation in The Netherlands and Germany by playing on festivals such as Extremefest and Neurotic Deathfest. Bodyfarm released their second studio album, “The Coming Scourge,” through Cyclone Empire on September 20th 2013, followed by festival performances at Hell Inside, Zombie Fest and Eindhoven Metal Meeting. On February 18th, 2014, fans in North America will finally be able to pick up copies of the album via Metal Blade Records. Bodyfarm’s video for “Unbroken” is streaming now at metalblade.com/bodyfarm, where fans can also pre-order the album.

Down Among The Dead Men is a new musical project from the minds of Dave Ingram and Rogga Johansson. Dave Ingram is well known for his time spent as the vocalist for two of England’s mightiest metal legends: Bolt Thrower and Benediction, in addition to his Danish band Downlord and his current online radio shows: Metal Breakfast Radio and Lambert’s Basement. Rogga is equally legendary with multiple projects under his belt including: Paganizer, Ribspreader, Fondlecorpse, Humanity Delete and The Grotesquery, just to name but a few. Joining them is Rogga’s fellow Paganizer and Ribspreader member, Dennis Blomberg. Session drums on the album were performed by Erik R. Bevenrud and future live shows will have Matte Fiebig on drums. Down Among The Dead Men‘s musical style has been described as crust-riddled punk with a definite death metal edge.
